The SPIO Directory of Educational Resources is a growing online database of educational resources available to Pacific Islander scholars to easily find scholarships, mentorship programs, leadership programs, nonprofits, and other educational resources.

Started in March 2020 by a team of international volunteers, the Directory’s goal is to provide our global Pacific scholars easy access to the resources they need to navigate higher education successfully.

While the launched Directory currently has resources available to Pacific Islander scholars living in Oceania and select U.S. states, SPIO hopes to eventually grow the directory to include resources available to Pacific scholars anywhere in the world.

The goal is for the Directory to be a strong starting point for Pacific scholars looking for educational resources. The links provided in the Directory are not under the direct or indirect control of South Pacific Islander Organization, and are provided as a convenience to scholars.

The Educational Resource Ambassador Team is grateful to their ancestors for being courageous master navigators, community organizations that came before them and paved the way for newer organizations like SPIO to exist, and community members who actively work to create inclusive spaces for Pacific scholars in education. It truly takes a Village to uplift our scholars.

Since this is an open source project, anyone can search, download, or add resources to the directory:
