Anna Lesā is the recipient of the $5,000 2022 SPIO Extracurricular Scholarship.
Major: Bachelor's in Accounting
Undergraduate University: Utah Valley University
Bio: Anna Lesā is from Kaneohe, Hawaii and is a junior studying Accounting at Utah Valley University. She is a student-athlete and is apart of UVU's Women's Golf Team. Anna loves being apart of the Pacific Islander community and uplifting others.

Why is it important to have Pasifika representation in higher education?
It's important to have Pacific Islander representation in higher education because we have unique and essential perspectives that can be amplified through education.

How is this scholarship impacting your education?
I'm extremely grateful to be a recipient of this award. This award will help me focus on my academics and dedicate my time to learning and serving my community.
What are your career and education goals?
I want to graduate with my Bachelor's in Accounting in 2024 in good academic standing. I want to continue my education by getting my Master's in Accounting and my CPA (Certified Public Accountant). I want to work in accounting in Hawaii. My goal would be to work with small business start ups in Hawaii.
