2020 SPIO Virtual Summit: Building Sustainable Pathways for Pacific Islanders in Higher Education and Professional Fields

 

South Pacific Islander Organization (SPIO) is hosting its free inaugural 2020 SPIO Virtual Summit on August 1-2, 2020 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Pacific Standard Time) for Pacific scholars and recent grads.

The 2020 SPIO Virtual Summit aims to shine a light on the brilliance of the Pacific and advocate for better Pacific representation across academic and professional fields.

The free two-day Virtual Summit will feature an exciting mix of Pacific scholars and seasoned professionals from around the world from the following organizations: Stanford University, TupuToa, Pasifika Film Fest, University of Auckland, 350 Pacific, and Melanesian Women Today.

The Virtual Summit will also mark the launch of SPIO’s Higher Education Network, a free and inclusive digital space for Pacific scholars to connect with other scholars and Pacific professionals. The Network will host monthly community topics, weekly community pulse polls, curated livestreams with Pacific leaders, and exclusive Virtual Office Hours with Pacific professionals from top global companies.
